If you haven’t yet heard, on March 23^rd, we’ll be hosting a night of Burgers and Bourbon tasting. With guest speaker Simon Park, our guests will enjoy some of the finest Nashua cocktails complemented with a mouth-watering five-course meal. This event will walk you through pairing and insight on the award-winning Woodford Reserve Bourbon from Kentucky.

If you’re not familiar with Woodford Reserve, here is a sneak peek at what the evening holds –

Malt Whiskey

Unlike a typical 100% malt whiskey, Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey. This blend is crafted from 51% malt and aged in new charred oak barrels, making it the malt whiskey for bourbon drinkers.

The base of 51% malt results in a whiskey that is richly flavorful and complex, while amplifying the nutty characteristic found in the original Woodford Reserve.

The taste: Dark chocolate and caramel coated nuts are dried out with a dusting of cocoa powder and brown spice.

The finish: Nutty and subtly sweet chocolate malt notes.

Rye Whiskey

Using a prohibition style ration of 53% rye in its mash bill, Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey pays homage to history’s original rye whiskeys. With spice and tobacco as the dominant notes, a sea of fruit, floral, and sweet aromatics yield the perfect sweetness and overall balance.

This rye whiskey delivers complex flavors – neat, on ice, or in your favorite cocktail.

The taste: Clove, rye, mint, molasses, sorghum and honey mingle together with hints of apple and malt.

The finish: Long and sweetly spiced.

Bourbon Whisky

Rich, rounded, complex, and smooth all in one tiny sip. These words merely cover the surface of the silky smooth Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Comprised of more than 200 detectable flavor notes, the perfectly balanced taste is not one to be missed.

The taste: Rich and rounded with complex citrus, cinnamon, and cocoa.

The finish: Silky smooth, almost creamy at first, with a long, warm satisfying tail.

Double Oaked Bourbon

An innovative approach to twice-barreled bourbon creates the rich and colorful flavor of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Uniquely matured in separate, charred oak barrels – the second barrel deeply toasted before a light charring – extracts additional soft, sweet oak character.

The taste: A full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices.

The finish: Long and creamy with lingering hints of honeyed apple.
